Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Kingsland, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the crest of a low east-west ridge as a circular grass-covered area measuring thirty-four metres north-south. An overgrown earthen bank defines the perimeter, while an outer fosse cuts through the earth to the east and southwest. A northeast-southwest road truncates the northwest edge, and no visible entrance remains.
