Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Gortnacrannagh, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a D-shaped grass-covered area measuring thirty metres north-south and fifteen metres east-west on a northwest-facing slope. A shallow fosse borders its southwest edge while a north-south field wall cuts through the eastern section. Another rath lies one hundred and fifty metres to the northeast.
Marked as a D-shaped embanked feature (ext. dims c. 40m N-S; c. 25m E-W) truncated by a N-S field bank at E on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as a circular feature overlain by a N-S field bank on the 1927 ed. It is situated on a shelf of a NW-facing slope. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 30m N-S; c. 15m E-W) defined by a fosse (Wth of top 5m; max. D 0.2m) S-W. It is cut by a N-S field wall and no archaeological feature is visible E of this. Rath (RO022-033----) is c. 150m to the NE.
