What is recorded here

Marked as a rectangular embanked or moated enclosure (ext. dims. c. 60m E-W; c. 40m N-S) only on 1839 ed. of the OS 6 inch map, and situated on a gentle N-facing slope. It is described locally as having a low earthen bank but no noticeable fosse. It is not visible now at ground level. (Barry 1977, 221, WX67) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
