What is recorded here

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 55m) bisected by a NE-SW roadway on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is situated on a slight rise in a low-lying landscape. A D- shaped area (dims. 35m NE-SW; 11m NW-SE) defined by scarp (H 0.4m) and truncated by a NE-SW roadway on the SE side is the only visible remains of the monument. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
