Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Towards the top of the SE-facing slope of a small NE-SW drumlin ridge. Oval scrub-covered area (dims 41m E-W; 30m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4.8-5m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.8m) NW-NE and a scarp (H 0.5-1m) elsewhere, separated by a fosse (Wth of base 2-2.75m) from an outer bank (Wth 2.95m at SW to 3.8m at N; int. H 0.35m at S to 1.4m at N; ext. H 0.6-1m), which is incorporated into a field bank NW-E. There is no visible entrance. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
