Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Dooneen (frenchpark By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. The subcircular grass-covered area sits at the west end of a broad east-west spur and contains a low circular mound near the centre. An earthen bank and outer fosse surround the space, but no visible entrance remains.

At the W end of a broad E-W spur. Subcircular grass-covered but poached area (dims 40m E-W; 37.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at S: Wth 2.2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.6m; at N: Wth 5m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.8m), and an outer fosse (Wth of top 8m; Wth of base 5.2m; D 1m) NW-NE. There is a low circular mound (RO016-002002-) (diam. 5.8m; H 0.3m) NE of the centre, but there is no visible entrance. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
