Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Derrane, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a subcircular grass-covered area on a gentle southwest-facing slope, bounded by an earthen bank and rounded fosse. A narrow causeway cuts the southern bank, while another rath sits two hundred metres to the north-northwest.
On a gentle SW-facing slope of a low hill. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 51.7m E-W; 45.8m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.6-5.3m; int. H 0.4-0.5m; ext. H 0.7-1.8m) and a rounded fosse (Wth of top 6.5m; Wth of base 1.8-3.6m; D 0.3-0.45m). The bank is reduced to a scarp SE-WSW, and there is a causeway (Wth 2.5m; H 0.15m) at S (max. ext. diam. 64.7m E-W). Rath (RO035-091----) is c. 200m to the NNW.
