Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Correal (athlone North By., Lackan Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a slight NE-facing slope as a raised circular grass-covered area measuring 32.5m E-W and 31.3m N-S. An earthen bank and hedge define part of the circle, while a shallow fosse cuts the south-western edge. No original entrance remains identifiable.
On a slight NE-facing slope. Slightly raised circular grass-covered area (diam. 32.5m E-W; 31.3m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at W: Wth 5.7m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.4m) and hedge SSW-NNW, reduced to a scarp (H 0.9-1.2m) elsewhere, with a fosse (at SW: Wth of top 8.2m; Wth of base 3.7m; D 0.6m) S-W. There is no identifiable original entrance.
