Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Coolteige, County Roscommon, Ireland. It is a subrectangular grass-covered area on a gentle north-facing slope, defined by a curved earthen bank, a low scarp, a shallow ditch and a road wall. A possible rath lies ten metres to the southwest.
Marked as a D-shaped embanked enclosure (ext. dims c. 70m N-S; c. 50m E-W) curtailed by a NNE-SSW field bank at NW on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a fragment of a bank (C c. 40m) E-S on the 1914 ed. Situated on a gentle N-facing slope. This is a subrectangular grass-covered area (dims c. 54m NW-SE; c. 30m NE-SW) defined by an arc of grass-covered earthen bank (Wth 5.3m; H 0.2-0.3m) at SE, a low scarp (H 0.4m) at NE, a shallow fosse or ditch (Wth 2m; D 0.25m) at NW and a NW-SE road wall at SW. The interior is overlain by a NE-SW field wall towards the NW edge. The possible rath (RO036-020----) is c. 10m to the SW.
