Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cloonyquin (roscommon By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a slight rise in a low-lying position on an undulating landscape. The site appears as a circular platform roughly 32 metres across, bounded by a scarp that reaches 1.6 metres at the south. An earlier description identified a subcircular area with a fosse, outer earthen bank and eastern entrance.
On a slight rise in a low-lying position on an undulating landscape. Described as a subcircular area (dims. 32m N-S; 27.5m E-W) defined by a fosse and outer earthen bank which had an entrance at E (Gannon 1972).
