Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cloonyquin (roscommon By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies an oval platform on a rise in an undulating landscape, with a scarp defining its edge and a ramp entrance at the southwest. A rectangular two-room house site appears as wall-footings on the northwest perimeter, while quarry trenches cut outside the eastern and southern walls. Another rath lies about 170m to the west-southwest.
On a rise in an undulating landscape. Oval platform (28.5m N-S; 23m E-W) sloping from the centre down to the E (H of slope 2m) defined by a scarp (H 0.8m at E to 2.2m at S) with some bushes. There is no visible bank or fosse, but the ramp entrance (Wth 3.2m) is at SW. A rectangular house site (RO022-065002-) (ext. dims 12.5m N-S; 5.2m E-W) divided into two rooms is visible as wall-footings (Wth 0.65-1m) on the perimeter at NW. There are quarry trenches (Wth 2.4-3m; D 0.3m) outside the E and S walls of the house. Rath (RO022-064----) is c. 170m to the WSW.
