Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrowmoney,ballyglass (athlone North By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a gentle ENE-facing slope as a circular grass-covered area measuring 37.2m NE-SW and 35.3m NW-SE. An earthen bank and outer fosse define the NW-NE perimeter, while a low scarp marks the remaining boundary. Field walls and the townland limit with Ballyglass now cross the SE edge.
On a gentle ENE-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 37.2m NE-SW; 35.3m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (at NNE: Wth 8.8m; int. H 0.75m; ext. H 0.85m) and outer fosse (at NNE: Wth of top 6.7m; Wth of base 1.6m; ext. D 0.3m) NW-NE, but the perimeter is reduced to a low scarp elsewhere. The monument is overlain by a NW-SE field wall that meets a NE-SW field wall and townland boundary with Ballyglass towards the perimeter at SE. The rath (RO042-082----) is c. 130m to the NW.
