In a low-lying landscape. Oval scrub-covered area (dims 46.7m N-S; 36.4m E-W) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 4-5.6m; int. H 0.1-0.3m; ext. H 0.3-1.7m) separated by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 8-9.5m; Wth of base 1.7-5.8m; D 0.2m at E to 1.2m at N) from an outer bank (Wth 2-4.1m; H 0.2m-0.5m). The entrance (Wth 2.3m) and causeway are at E, but the outer bank does not survive E-SE (max. ext. dims 65.25m N-S; 58.4m E-W).
