Embanked enclosure

Marked as a sub-rectangular embanked enclosure (ext. dims. c. 70m NE-SW; c. 60m NW-SE) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a D-shaped enclosure (ext. dims. c. 70m NE-SW; c. 50m NW-SE) truncated by a NE-SW field bank towards the perimeter at SE and with a wide outer fosse on the 1926 ed. It is situated on a level landscape. Oval grass-covered area (dims. 51m NE-SW; 42m NW-SE) defined by the remains of a fosse (Wth 10-11m; D 0.2-0.7m). There is no visible entrance. It is visible as a cropmark (diam. c. 50m) defined by a single feature on aerial photographs (ASIAP (40) 31-36) taken in August 1996.
