Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballinvilla, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a level landscape overlooking drained bogland to the south. A circular grass-covered area measures thirty-four metres east-west and thirty-two and a half metres north-south. An earthen bank and scarp define parts of the rim, while a shallow fosse cuts through the south-west and north-west sections.
On a level landscape overlooking drained bogland to the S. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34m E-W; 32.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.8m) ESE-SE and elsewhere by a scarp (H 0.3m at NE to 1.7m at S), with a fosse (Wth of top 5-5.3m; Wth of base 2-3m; D 0.2-0.45m) S-WSW and NW-N. There is no visible entrance. A modern field bank and drain approaches from the NE, curves into the interior, and extends off to the ESE. Rath (RO010-068----) is c. 200m to the NW.
