Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballagh (athlone North By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a circular embanked enclosure on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map and as an oval one on the 1915 edition. The grass-covered site measures seventy metres north-northeast to south-southwest and forty metres west-northwest to east-southeast. An earthen bank surrounds the east, south and west, while a shallow fosse cuts the west-northwest edge.
Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 60m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as an oval one (dims c. 80m N-S; c. 40m E-W) on the 1915 ed. Situated on a gentle ENE-facing slope. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 70m NNE-SSW; 40m WNW-ESE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.1-0.75m; ext. H 0.9-1m) E-S-W, with a fosse (Wth of top 4.6m; Wth of base 1m; D 0.45m) at WNW and a slight scarp N-E. It is bisected by an E-W field wall and barely survives N of this.
