Eileen Flynn was born in 1989 at Labre Park, the oldest official halting site in Dublin, where she was the youngest of nine children. She grew up in a wonderful Traveller community where poor living conditions and absent state services made human connection the primary measure of wealth. On 28 June 2020, she became the first Traveller to enter the Oireachtas, using her parliamentary voice to break down barriers for all.
