Eddystone Lighthouse, located off the coast of Rame Head in Cornwall, is one of the world's oldest surviving rock lighthouses, with its first structure built in 1698 by Henry Winstanley. It has played a vital role in maritime safety, guiding ships away from the dangerous Eddystone Rocks and contributing to the development of lighthouse engineering.
