Ecclesiastical enclosure in Dysert

Díseart Ó dTriallaigh (hermitage of Uí Thriallaigh - sept name). This early ecclesiastical enclosure is situated E of the River Feale, which flows NW to the River Cashen. The site is mentioned in the Ui Fiachrach genealogies and would appear to have a family name connected with it. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’.
