What is recorded here
Kiltennell and Ballinvally preserve possible ecclesiastical enclosures around their churches, yet no surviving entry records when or why they were built. That absence makes them harder to dismiss: someone marked holy ground large enough to exclude ordinary traffic, then disappeared from the story. The towns still carry the shape of that choice.
