What is recorded here
End-of-terrace four-bay two-storey financial institution, c.1910. Western bay a later extension. Red brick front wall with decorative brick pilasters and rendered frieze. Segmental-headed timber sash windows with continuous granite sill course. Full-width glazed timber shopfront to original building. Segmental-headed carriage arch to extension. Pitched slate roof behind parapet with semi-circular tablet bearing date. Smooth rendered to sides and rere with uPVC casement windows.
A striking purpose-built financial services building, still serving the same function and retaining original materials. The later extension harmonises well with the main building, further enhancing the streetscape.
