In pasture, on a low rise. A semicircular raised area (16.6m N-S; 33m E-W; H 1.5m) with an area (14.8m E-W; 11.5m N-S) dug out of its centre. According to local information, the surface sloped gently down to S prior to soil being removed from it in the past. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
