Situated on a low rise at the base of E facing slope of a ridge running N-S, in low-lying wet pasture, with good views to N, E and S. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a substantial earthwork (approx. dims. 53m NE-SW; 34m NW-SE) defined by a scarp. Described in 1980 as no surface remains visible. The field fences to W and S have been removed. Levelled monument is not visible today on Digital Globe aerial photography.
