In Moanahila, County Limerick, a buried oval of earth still holds its shape beneath grazing pasture. It measures twenty-eight by thirty-three metres, large enough to surround a household or a memory, yet small enough to disappear when rain softens the ground. A ringfort waits three hundred metres southeast, suggesting this was not a lonely act but a neighbourhood of marked land. The earthwork has survived cartographers, drainage channels and centuries of feet, keeping its own quiet boundary while the world around it changed.

In undulating pasture with restricted views in all directions, 70m N of the townland boundary with Oolahills East. Ringfort (TS058-001----) located 310m to SE. The site is depicted as an oval-shaped earthwork (ext. dims. 28m N-S; 33m E-W) on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map and on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map. The monument is visible as an earthwork in pasture on the OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12 and on the Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. Inspected by the ASI in 1999 and described as a slightly raised oval shaped area. The enclosure is visible on a Google Earth orthoimage taken 11/03/2014 when a recent farm drainage channel was excavated along the N edge of the site along the field boundary.
