What is recorded here

Situated on a NE-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. Not indicated on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map and only partially hachured as a bank on the latest ed. It was not possible to locate this site which is situated in recently planted coniferous forest. Of doubtful antiquity. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
