What is recorded here

In reclaimed pasture, 20m W of the townland boundary with Ballyfauskeen. Barrow (LI049-269----) lies 45m to SE. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular enclosure. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised, oval-shaped area (dims. c. 25m NW-SE; 19m NE-SW) defined by a scarp. Monument is visible as a roughly circular-shaped area defined by a scarp with external fosse on oblique aerial photograph (ASIAP (341) 21) taken 05-01-2003. On Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/09/2019 there is also a possible external bank visible from W-N-NE and from SE-SW.
