Earthwork in Corvally (farney By)

Located at the NW end of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. A small subrectangular field (dims c. 20m N-S; c. 15m E-W) is depicted on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as a ‘fort’. No archaeological feature is visible at ground level in improved pasture, and the nature of the monument is not clear, although it may have been a ringfort.
