What is recorded here
In low-lying undulating grassland. Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1920) as an oval enclosure (E-W c. 50m, N-S c. 40m), the W end of which was truncated by a field boundary. All that now survives is a small oval grassy hillock-like mound (E-W 55m, N-S 42m) overlain by a field wall at W.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
