Vague traces of a square-shaped earthwork pointed out as a probable antiquity to the ASI by Mr. Cecil English in 1978. A sub-circular shaped earthwork is depicted at this location on the 1838 ed. OS 6-inch map but not depicted on subsequent editions of the OS maps.
