Dunkineely Hilltop Enclosure — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Marked as a 'Fort' on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map. The site consists of an oval hill-top area 45m NE-SW × 32.5m NW-SE defined by a scarped edge. Modern roadways encroach on the site on the S and W sides. It is raised, from c. 0.8m on the NE to 3.2m on the SW, above the surrounding land. The site is located on good land in a commanding position. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'
