What is recorded here

Drumluck Castle stood on a sloping promontory under pasture until demolition removed it before 1937. It faced the cliff walk south of Bottle Quay on the west side of Howth Head, now hidden behind a later property boundary. The land may have swallowed the stones, but the sea still marks the edge where the castle watched.

The site is accessible from the cliff walk S of Bottle Quay on the W side of Howth Head. The castle was demolished prior to 1937. It is a naturally sloping promontory under pasture, which is enclosed by a later property boundary. No visible remains at ground level.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
