Drumirrin Former Stone Ringfort / Sheep Pen — Report the wrong picture

Drumirrin is a former stone ringfort in County Donegal, Ireland, where a modern D-shaped sheep pen sits directly on the remains of a destroyed cashel. The fort measured twenty to twenty-five metres across and occupied good pasture, suggesting people valued the land enough to build a strong boundary there before the stones were broken and reused. The new enclosure may have taken its walls from the old fort, turning a human home into a animal pen while the shape and purpose changed.

Diam. c. 20-25m. A D-shaped modern stone enclosure is built on the remains (and probably from the same material) of a destroyed cashel. The site is located on good pasture.
