Downings Grave Yard in County Kildare is a living, overgrown chamber where a medieval church still stands beside a cross-inscribed headstone and a broken baptismal font. Burials crowd the north, south and west of the building, with most legible stones dating from the 19th century to the present day. The place remains in use, meaning new grief and memory keep entering an enclosure that may have been sacred since early times.

In a possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (KD013-008001-) and containing a medieval church (KD013-008002-), a cross-inscribed headstone and a fragment of a baptismal font (KD013-008005-). A very overgrown area with burials concentrated to the N, S and W of the church, the legible majority, apparently, dating from the 19th century to the present day. The graveyard is still in use.
