Roofless walls and copper spoil mark a 19th-century coastal mine on Dunmanus Bay, where men cut adits through living rock and built a small embattled magazine to keep what they risked their lives to take. The sea still passes the ruins, turning human ambition into a shape the tide can redraw.

Fragmentary remains of 19th-century coastal mining complex on SE side Dunmanus Bay; consisting of ruined mining structures; adits and shafts; dividing walls and magazine amidst mounds of spoil. Roofless embattled magazine; circular external plan, rectangular internal plan (1.9m N-S; 1.55m E-W); pointed doorway to SE (wall thickness 0.73m). On S side of complex are remains of fish palace (CO147-002002-). Near mines reservoir, c. 150m S of main mining complex, are remains of two single-storey dwellings.
