Cabra holds a tree-ring where deliberate planting shaped the land long before modern memory. The estate owned the gesture, but the trees outlived the people who arranged them. What remains is not a ruin but a rhythm: a circle drawn in living wood, still turning through seasons the designers never expected to witness.

This consists of a natural mound or hillock which has been enclosed by an earthen bank along most of its perimeter. A field record, dated 5 August 1986, recorded that it appeared more likely to be a tree ring rather than a ringfort. Compiled by: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 16 January 2017
