A naturally rounded granite stone (dims 0.44m x 0.4m; T 0.27m) covered in cup-marks (diam. c. 2.5-4cm; D0.5-1cm) on one face only is in the SE angle of Artramon graveyard (WX037-005002-). Likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, the cupmarked stone in Artramon may have had ritual or symbolic significance, possibly linked to water or fertility, as suggested by the widespread association of cup-marks with ceremonial practices in prehistoric Britain. Its placement near a graveyard could indicate a connection to ancestor veneration or territorial markers.
