What is recorded here

Crossnalanniv is a buried memory at a Tooms crossroads, marked on maps from 1842 to 1943 but no longer visible to the eye. Cartographers kept returning to the name because the place still mattered, even when the ground stopped declaring what it held. The absence does not erase the claim; it invites imagination about whose loss the landscape forgot and whose name the crossroads still carries.
