The precise location of this cross has not been identified. According to the OS letters of 1838-40 ‘there was a cross formerly standing a few yards N.E. of the bridge (Nuns Cross Bridge), on the side of the road’ OSFNB 1838-40, 22). Today there is no local knowledge of a cross that fits this description. There is a small concrete cross (c. 04.m x 0.3m) on the inner face of the bridge.
