Cross-slab (present location) in Lacklom

A small tapering flagstone bearing a deeply incised, roughly executed, plain Latin cross and bordered by a thin, lightly incised line (max. L 0.8m, Wth 0.33m). In 1966 the slab was to be seen lying against the wall of Killaconner church (see LH006-101003-) which was subsequently levelled and at that time the stone was removed to Iniskeen Museum. A small Christian cross slab, likely dating to the early medieval period (6th–10th century), possibly associated with a local ecclesiastical or memorial site; such crosses often marked burial grounds or waypoints in early Christian practice.
