Cross-slab in Athy

Formerly in St. Michael’s parish church (KD035-022-014-) but now housed in the Athy Heritage Centre and Museum in Emily Square. The upper half of a tapering slab (L 1.30m; Wth 0.52-0.60m; T 0.14m) is decorated with an incised fleur-de-lys cross, enclosing a lozenge shape in the cross-head. Probably 13th-century in date.
