Croaghaun holds a hexagonal cross stem set into a gable-shaped base at a holy well in County Clare. The stone likely came from an 18th or 19th-century church, yet it still stands beside water people have long trusted for grace. Its small square socket suggests another piece is missing, leaving the cross incomplete but still present in the life of the place.

Affixed to a wall at a holy well (CL033-058----). A gable-shaped cross base (rectangular base 0.46m x 0.35m; gable H 0.15m; total H 0.45m). The cross stem on top of the gable is hexagonal (0.17m x 0.16m; H 0.12m) with a square socket (0.085m x 0.085m; D 0.04m). The cross is likely to be from an 18th or 19th-century church.
