What is recorded here

Crockawaddy Fort was a small circular enclosure on a low Mayo rise, large enough for a household but no longer visible because reclamation flattened its earth. It appeared on maps in 1838 and 1929, yet the land itself has erased the fort, leaving only a name and a memory of shape. What was lost may have been a home, a boundary marker, or a child's running ring; the pasture no longer answers which.

In average pasture, located on a low rise. This possible rath, is shown as a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m), named ‘Crockawaddy Fort’ on the 1838 and 1929 OS 6-inch maps (1929).
