What is recorded here

Crannog in Woodfield is a man-made island platform in County Clare, Ireland, built to raise a home above wet ground. The exact age and builders are not yet published, but the structure still belongs to the field and may hide a drowned chamber or forgotten stair beneath the turf. People may have lived there when the land around was too wet for ordinary fields, watching the sky from a small dry circle while the water moved below.
