What is recorded here
Coolistoonan stands in County Clare, Ireland, marked only as an unclassified castle site. Its exact history and function remain unknown, but the land still carries the shadow of a structure that once rose there. Perhaps it guarded a river crossing, housed a local family, or fell victim to forgotten conflict. The absence of detail does not diminish the place; it invites imagination to fill the gap with human life, ambition and loss.
