An island in Lough Pound appears to have been artificially constructed of stones. Two small 'Piers' project on the NW side. The island 8.5m N-S, 10.4m E-W is covered in vegetation. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'
