Kinahan claimed he saw a kistvaen here, but nobody has actually gone to check since. It’s just a summit now, making you wonder if the whole thing was ever real or just a bad day at work.

It does not show this monument.Explorer Tom Meskanmeave Hill Cairn is a circular pile of loose stones about seventeen metres across, sitting right on top of the hill with great views. It was once used as a trigonometrical station, which means surveyors probably trampled it while trying to measure the landscape for maps. I like the idea that an ancient stone circle became a modern measuring tool, turning a sacred spot into a giant’s protractor.
