Cow and Knockatemple Island

Knockatemple Island still floats in County Cavan waters, a small rim of land beside the larger Cow formation. The name joins two separate identities instead of hiding one behind the other. That much is clear. What is missing is the life that gave the places their names, the hands that first pointed at them and the story they told before anyone wrote it down.
