Corn Mill and Tuck Mill stand above the stream feeding Rossmore Bog and the Ihernagh River in County Cork. The larger L-shaped building still houses French burr stones, a Robinson roller mill and a rapid hammer mill, all driven by an inward-flow turbine that replaced a twenty-four-foot overshot wheel in the 1940s. The smaller single-storey Tuck Mill beside it lost its fourteen-foot wooden wheel and became a piggery, leaving the old mill race to mark where water once turned both places.
Above stream leading into Rossmore Bog and Ihernagh River. Multiperiod L-shaped 2 storey corn mill retains mill machinery. According to miller, the present inward-flow turbine in wheel pit along N elevation, replaced vertical overshot water-wheel (diam. 24 feet) in 1940s. Turbine still powers machinery via belts and pulleys including a pair of enclosed french burr stones at 1st floor. Robinson Roller Mill, Bramford rapid hammer mill also present. According to miller W section used as Carding mill in 19th century. Tuck mill to E along same mill race. Small, mid-19th-century single storey rectangular structure. Miller remembered a wooden waterwheel (diam. 14 feet; Wth 2 feet) along N elevation. Now a piggery.
