Saint Colman's Catholic ChurchChurch/chapel · 18 yd

Explorer Tom Saint Colman's Catholic Church is having a quiet rivalry with its neighbour over who looks more mysterious. It built itself like a barn to confuse the architects. Pretend it's yours and tip your hat respectfully.

presbytery/parochial/curate's house282 yd

Explorer Tom Presbytery in Shanganny is stuck in a feud over who owns the view from the hillside. The local stone makes it look like it’s made of compressed gossip. Make a wish before you walk away for good.

Graveyard1540 yd

Explorer Tom Graveyard in Kilmacar would tell a job interviewer it has 'excellent views' and 'great team dynamics.' It sits on a slope watching the river go by, feeling very important. Go now, before it gets famous.

IndicatedBawn · 1.4 mi

Explorer Tom Legend says there was a matchmaker working in this bawn at Foulksrath who paired off knights with ladies based on how well they could juggle apples. The walls are still thick enough to hide all the love letters and secret trysts that happened behind them back in the day. Best enjoyed with a bag of chips and no plans.

Saint Coleman's WellSpring · 1.7 mi

Explorer Tom Saint Coleman's Well in Jenkinstown was built by a guy who clearly thought he was doing a favour for the saint, but really just made a nice little hole in the ground. It’s got that classic 'I did my best' energy to it, which is more than most buildings can say about themselves honestly. If anyone asks, Tom sent you.

Donaghmore WellSpring · 1.9 mi

Explorer Tom Donaghmore Well is famous locally because a giant once tried to drink it all in one go and ended up with a massive belly ache that lasted three days straight. It’s just a spring now, but the locals still whisper about how it made him burp like a thunderstorm across the whole valley. Tell the next person you meet it's haunted. It might be.

RathbeaghFairy fort / earthen ringfort · 2.4 mi

Explorer Tom Rathbeagh has an imaginary twin across the sea that probably drinks too much tea and complains about the weather. It’s got a massive bank and zero chill, honestly. Ideal place to rehearse an excuse for being late.

Cave of DunmoreCave · 2.5 mi

Explorer Tom Cave of Dunmore has an escape plan that involves crawling through a hole so small only a very determined badger could fit through it, which is honestly a bit desperate for a cave to be planning on. It’s just waiting for the right moment to bolt. Ideal place to rehearse an excuse for being late.

Dunmore CavesCave · 2.5 mi

Explorer Tom Dunmore Cave is short enough on a map for me to boast I could cross it in a hurry, then deep enough to prove me wrong. Its passages total about a quarter mile and descend roughly 46 metres below Kilkenny ground. Inside stands the Market Cross, a limestone column more than 5.8 metres high. The cave is also an important archaeological site, with records of violence in the tenth century; the people involved deserve a sober account from the guides, not a joke from me. Protected as a national monument since 1944, it began welcoming guided visitors in the 1960s. Check today's opening, tour and step access before coming, and stay on the visitor route. Look at the formations without touching them, however tempting the shapes. Stone has been working here for ages and needs no help from my fingers.

Ballyragget Cas.Castle, tower house · 2.7 mi

Explorer Tom Ballyragget Castle thinks the road leading to it is too slow for its taste and keeps sighing audibly. Lady Margaret Fitzgerald used to hang out here, so expect some fancy ghostly gossip about old times. Hang around long enough and you'll hear a story from a local.

Graveyard in SraleaghGraveyard · 3.3 mi

Explorer Tom Graveyard in Sraleagh would survive a zombie attack just fine because there’s only one inscribed stone left, so they’d run out of targets quickly. It’s basically an easy win for them. Dare you to say hello to it out loud.

Graveyard in ThreecastlesGraveyard · 3.6 mi

Explorer Tom Graveyard in Threecastles would spend its lotto win on a new fence because the current one is letting the cows in and they are very rude about the whole thing. It’s a nightmare for them. Have a chat with it, nobody's watching.
