What is recorded here

Remains of limestone paving, c. 1860
Though much of the original paving has been removed, this mid nineteenth-century kerbing is a significant contributor to the architectural heritage of the city. While the surfacing on this street is now predominantly modern concrete replacement, this paving remains an interesting reminder of the quality of materials formerly utilised in the streetscape.
